Goodbye Primary 1a!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the children and their families for the incredibly overwhelming gifts. I have absolutely loved teaching each and every boy and girl in Primary 1 this year and am so incredibly proud at how well they’ve done. I will miss them all very much and look forward to seeing them continue their development and growth at St. David’s. Have a lovely summer!

P1 School Trip

The children had so much fun on our school trip. They were able to make lots of links to our topics throughout the day. The Museum of Childhood reinforced the children’s learning during our “When Granny was a girl” topic. Their minibeast hunt in Princes Street Gardens linked to our “Living Things” topic; and we got to see lots of different landmarks around Edinburgh city centre linking to our current topic, “Where I Live”. Thank you again to all of our parent volunteers – your help is greatly appreciated!

Bike, scoot or walk to school week

Unfortunately we weren’t blessed with the weather this week but that didn’t stop the boys and girls from getting involved in our Bike to School week activities! Well done to all of the boys and girls for creating beautiful helmets for our competition and congratulations to Dayna for being chosen as the P1a winner! As well as this, the Bling your Bike competition was so much fun especially when we were parading them for the rest of the school! It’s clear how creative the boys and girls from P1a are! Thanks to Mrs. Guthrie and the JRSO’s for organising a very successful week.
