Welcome back! We’ve loved being back so far. Thought we’d update our page with some 2016 highlights including our ukulele lessons, loose play day and our mannequin challenge!

A huge congratulations to all of the children for working so hard to learn their Scots song, Three Craws, especially the winners who were chosen to perform at our assembly. Well done to Zach, Julia and Wiki from Primary 1a and Leah, Adam and Jagna from Primary 1b.
We were very lucky to have workers from Robertson Partnership come into our classes to do a tower building workshop. We used our problem solving skills to build the tallest towers that wouldn’t fall over. It was lots of fun!
Every week we have a challenging and fun maths investigation. This week we had to use our knowledge of properties of 3D shapes to create them. In groups we had to think about how many sides our shape has before going and getting the straws,
to make sure we used the right amount. Can you guess what shapes we’re making? Or what they are called?
We have been learning all about the upcoming Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rooster.
We have made our own lucky red money wallets, lanterns and moveable dragons.
In literacy we retold the Story of Nian and learnt about the Chinese Zodiac story.
We investigated tangram patterns in maths and have been trying to create the many possible figures from cats to sail boats!
