Today the Eco Den got dressed up and armed with litter pickers to go out and attack the litter in our playground. In just an hour we collected two large dustbin bags full of litter! Well done Eco den, the school is grateful.
The eco den were decorating some recycling bins to go in the classrooms. They were also learning what can be recycled an what can’t.
On the 27th April the Eco hub took part in the ‘National Spring Clean’ event. Well done guys you picked up 3Kg of litter in just 30 minutes!! Greggs helped to sponsor the event so we all received treats from them for taking part. We hope to get the litter-pickers out again soon.
Last Friday the Eco Den learnt all about Earth Hour.
We watched promotional videos to understand the importance of Earth Hour and why it is a global issue.
In response, we created a selection of posters to take back to our classes to share what was happening.
The children were very positive in supporting Earth Hour and we’ve no doubt that they made sure the lights went off in their own houses for the hour!
