Dear Parents/Carers,
We know that this is a very uncertain and difficult time for everyone. This can be especially challenging for those parents of children with additional support needs.
We have set up this page to provide some resources for specific additional support needs and some more general resources of fun and active ways to incorporate learning into your child’s day.
We want to be explicitly clear that you are not expected to teach your child. For children with additional support needs the differentiation between home and school can be very definite and any change of expectation in this environment could be extremely unsettling.
We hope you find these useful!
Take care and stay safe,
Miss Thorpe and the SFL team
Please find a link below to a great information book about coronavirus. Well researched and illustrated by Axel Scheffler – illustrator of the Gruffalo. This is a fantastic resource to share with your child to help them understand what is going on in the world around them at this confusing and difficult time.
